Tauranga Police CIB Annual Charity Luncheon

The Tauranga Police CIB Charity Luncheon has a long history of giving to charities throughout the Bay of Plenty.  Since Detective Sergeant Peter Blackwell launched the first Luncheon in 1995 as a police social club fundraiser, the event has grown to become one of New Zealand’s premier fundraising events with over $890,000 being raised for charitable trusts across New Zealand.

This year, 2010, the total raised is expected to exceed $1 million.

The 16th Annual TPC Auction has been confirmed for 17 September 2010.  The MC is Mike Copeland, and guest speaker is Chris "Buddha" Handy (from Queensland).

On 23 October 2009, the annual Charity Luncheon was hosted at Baypark Stadium, Mt Maunganui. 
 
The event was again a sell-out with 700 guests in attendance to listen to MC Tony JOHNSON, Sky Sport Rugby Commentator, and guest speaker, Anthony HERBERT, ex World Cup winning Wallaby.
 
Through local support, 90 auction items were sold and included a large number of sporting memorabilia, gift packages.
 
2008 was a great success and thanks to your awesome generosity, here is the final tally :
